The annual RREC gathers the largest number of Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars in one location in the World.  This year was the 51st gathering of the members at Rockingham Castle.

Both cars were entered in the touring categories in their classes:

This category is to encourage conservation and preservation of reguarly used cars.  The judges take this into account and mark accordingly.  Annual mileage has to be covered to be entered into this class – at least 2500 miles during 2009.

The cars are judged on all aspects, engine, body, interior, chassis, full concours judging!

First up the Bentley Continental:
All cars from 1990 – 66 cars in class. Result – Class winner!

Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III:
Silver Cloud II, III, Phantom V, VI, and Bentley S2, S3 – 48 cars in class
Result – Class Winner

and both cars together with the owners after receiving their Trophies:

Formula Renault BARC Overview

The BARC Championship has firmly established itself as one of the best value for money single seater series in the world, and provides drivers with a fantastic stepping stone to its National and International counterparts, such as Formula Renault U.K, N.E.C and Eurocup.

Racing will be in identical cars to that used in the 2009 Renault U.K. Championship, with the exception of a slight reduction in power to reduce costs. Being able to compete in these cars against a large grid of very competitive drivers, at less than half the cost of any other Formula Renault Championship, is the main reason for the overwhelming popularity of BARC.

Antel approached me with regards to helping them to maintain their race cars and the paintwork which has been completed by the Same painter who paints the F1 Red Bull and Torro Rosso Cars.  A eye catching design, with the black containing a rainbow flake!!!

As you would expect, being race cars, the paintwork was of an excellent quality, and applied at an expected level to ensure weight is kept at a minimum – its dam thin!!!

The car was booked in after an inspection, and the list of work agreed was:
 - full swissvax detail including engine bay, interior, full exterior with machine polish.
 - clean and protection of the cabriolet roof
 - removal and refurbishment of the split rims – rims separated and painted throughout.

Not a small list, and certainly not a job for the faint hearted.
